Geoprism.ai

An integration layer to enable GeoAI for Digital Public Infrastructures

AI has the potential to help solve humanity’s most urgent challenges. Since nearly everything is connected by location and time, geospatial context is essential — yet foundation models lack access to authoritative, integrated data across silos. Imagine if lower-resourced settings had reliable access to the integrated and optimized geospatial data needed to develop their own GeoAI solutions.

Geoprism.ai is an open-source GeoAI integration platform for Digital Public Infrastructures (DPIs) that unifies Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDIs), Earth Observation sensors, health information systems, and Digital Public Goods (DPGs) — enabling large language models (LLMs) to reason with real-world geographic context while establishing Integrity, Provenance, and Trust (IPT).

Applications

Geoprism delivers tooling to build and maintain interoperable Spatial Knowledge Graphs (iSKGs) that federate datasets across sources using location as a primary semantic key. iSKGs can reference one another across organizational boundaries, with automated synchronization that propagates updates, resolves changes, and maintains alignment over time. This enables cross-domain knowledge to be composed, aligned, and reasoned over as a continuously evolving, unified geospatial graph.

Geoprism Kaleidoscope

A reference implementation of how to build LLM-driven web map app applications by using iSKGs to create a Geo-GraphRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

Geoprism Builder

A visual tool for defining geo-ontologies (i.e., the metadata) and for creating iSKGs.

Geoprism Repo

A back-end repository that manages interoperability between iSKGs from different sources as they change over time.

Aerial Sensor Forge

A cloud-based solution for the hosting, sharing and processing of aerial sensor outputs, with an emphasis on semantic interoperability that is being forked from a platform the creators of Geoprism developed for government agencies.

The Next Generation of Geoprism Registry

Geoprism.ai is the next evolution of GeoPrism Registry. It is an application suite for creating and maintaining interoperable Spatial Knowledge Graphs (iSKGs) optimized for Geo-GraphRAG workflows. It implements the Common Geo-Registry (CGR) approach, treating locations, location hierarchies, and networks of locations as cross-sector semantic standards. This enables siloed geospatial datasets—from NSDIs, digital public goods, and domain systems—to be aligned and integrated into a cohesive geospatial knowledge layer for Digital Public Infrastructures (DPI) to support the development of GeoAI solutions using Large Language Models.

Standards Based

Built on current and emerging standards

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC)

TerraFrame has collaborated with the OGC on several research projects to ensure compliance with existing standards and to inform emerging standards to improve geospatial interoperability.

Health Level 7 (HL7)

TerraFrame is contributing to the HL7 FHIR Location resource version 6 specification to improve interoperability of data by location from health information systems with external data sources, such as climate.
